Bal Bahadur K.C Chairperson

It gives me a great pleasure to announce that Working for Access and Creation (WAC-Nepal) Nepal has successfully completed more than two decades of its service. WAC has shown relentless efforts in supporting the poorest of the poor and disadvantaged groups both in past and present, through its different community development projects/programs in support of different development partner and donors. In 1997 after registering in DAO Achham, SWC and Tax office it is dedicated to social service through inception to till dated by carrying the vision of “envisages to creating the prosperous society”. Especially WAC-Nepal implements its programs for social development and advocates to the direct participation of Children women and Deprive community (CWDs) {Deprive community means dalit, backward group marginalized/vulnerable community, isolated community etc who are behind of Development aspect of socially, economically and geography}. It is very familiar NGO in Sudurpachchim province of Nepal. WAC Nepal Started its journey facing several ups and downs throughout the Maoist insurgency period in Achham. However, it has been started continue serving to target community by widening its horizon of work in coordination and collaboration with different GO/I/NGO’s focusing rural people who have lower socio-economic status with facing different social illogicality/absurdities. While going ahead WAC has been playing important roles and responsibilities and possibilities for the people. In the present context of WAC Nepal, all the activities of the organization are focused on democratic exercise and organizational development of human right in participation of civil society in health, education, sustainable livelihood with covering as governance, GESI and CC/DRR as crosscutting issues. We are happy to see our efforts being appreciated and our projects are accomplishing successfully with achieving target of the projects/programs and getting satisfaction to be a member of this organization could contribute in development of local back warded society as a change agent. In coming years we have much more to do to strengthen community in sector of Health, Education and Livelihood incorporating GESI, Governance and CC/DRR as crosscutting issues. Now days our team has been more focused on reaching to the unreached, using innovation, making evidence count reaching out to community and designing intervention addressing local issues. Coming years are full of hopes and opportunities. We are looking forward to show best examples of our projects/programs at in Nongovernmental organization sector of Nepal. I would like to thank all the supporting organizations, Specially Government of Nepal, USAID, UKaid, KOICA, UNESCO, Italy Bulgari, Global fund, Save the Children, World Vision, Care Nepal, Mercy Corps, stakeholders and well wishers for their valuable support and cooperation extended to WAC for carrying out its activities smoothly.
