Women Empowerment and Child Right Protection Project

Project Brief:

Women Empowerment and Child Right Project has been implemented by WAC Nepal in partnership with KNH. This project is being implemented in various wards of Sanfebagar Municipality, specifically Ward No. 2 Jalpadevi, Ward No. 3 Siddheshwar,
Ward No. 4 Mashtamandau, Ward No. 5 Nuwathana, Ward No. 7 Ridikot, Ward No. 10 Ghughurkot, and Ward No. 13 Babla.
The project aims to empower and transform women who are economically, socially, and politically marginalized. Through women’s empowerment, the project seeks to protect child rights, create self-help groups in economic, social, and political aspects,
promote savings, facilitate loan mobilization, and enhance the capacity of these groups in collective enterprises.

Overall Objective:

Women and children are protected and have dignified life in the Sanfebagar by the end of 2028.

Sub Objectives:

1. Improved socio-political status of women through active participation in socio-political areas.
2. Women have improved participation in economic activities at home and communities.
3. Women and Children are protected from violence in communities.
